Easter Saturday was, for me, a very pleasurable to day to be invited by Julie Manning and Karl, to help by participating in their Cake Sale raising funds for Help for Heroes in the Garden at the Antelope Public House in the town center of High Wycombe on a very busy Market Day.
I was able to help in a small way by manning a collecting bucket and by inviting passing
shoppers to visit the Cake Sale
The event was opened by the Mayor of High Wycombe, Mayor Chaudhary Allah, seen here with Julie and Karl and the magnificent Help for Heroes Signature Cake.
Julie had gathered a wonderful team of cake makers who were busy helping sell on the stall and in the High Street.
The display of cakes was so tempting, even for the strongest willed. Young male participants were particularly complementary as the continued the roaming. |
