Our annual day of Motor Racing has become the Bentley Drivers Day at the Silverstone Short Circuit in Buckinghamshire.
The Green Goddess in place for the day.
It is a fabulous day beginning in the Morning with Practice Heats to gain Grid positions for the Afternoon Races.
This is always followed by a cavalcade of Bentleys driven by their owners who get to do a few laps of the track and show off these wonderful machines. After all it is their day.
This year there were nine races including one for Morgan Cars only competing in the Technics Trophy series.
The Morgan Car Parking area on the outer circuit at Copse Corner is always packed with supporters. Two of the New Three Wheelers were in evidence in the car park but sadly there were none racing this year.
The Paddock & Pits are open for the public to wander around in safety where some wonderful examples of vintage racing cars may be found waiting for their races.
At the end of the Morgan Races owners and Drivers gather at the Technics Gazebo for prose giving and a buffet of refreshing drinks and nibbles before the cars are loaded into their trailers ready to head for home.
This year many of the Top Morgan Drivers were missing from the pack but that did not diminish the quality and excitement of the races.
Occasionally, the 'odd owner' sneaks in and parks in the Paddock.
This Beaten up Flat Rad was seen passing through Beaconsfield a week before this event.
