The Morgan Centenary Roadster 100 Register - Weekends Away.

The Morgan Centenary Roadster 100 Register
 - Weekends Away.

Having decided back in 2012 that the Register would only run All Morgans' Days biannually.

It was in 2013 that member Philip Loring offered to create an interim year 'Weekend Away', just for members, and what has now become an annual event was born with our first trip to The Vale of Evesham to drive The Blossom Trail.
We were to stay at very comfortable The Wroxton Hotel in the village of Wroxton just north of Banbury.
Here is our video record of our travels.
In 2015, Chris & Rosemary Atwood followed up organising our next Surrey Hills weekend.
This time we stayed at the Burford Bridge Hotel just north of Dorking.
The Hotel had just undergone a total restoration.

Our group enjoyed these weekends such that in 2016 we held the first annual event when Gerald & Mary Ladkin invited everyone to come to their 'Rothley' Weekend located in Leicestershire at the very stately Rothley Court Hotel complete  with its own Chapel.

In 2017 Chris & Rosemary stepped up again and arranged a lovely 'R100's Go West' weekend in the Dorset Town of Sherborn.
Our hotel, in the town center was the lovely Eastbury Hotel.

As we were close to the famous Haynes Motor Museum a group of us agreed to meet there for lunch on the way down. The exhibits provided a photo opportunity requiring a video show all of its own.

Then we moved on to the Eastbury Hotel to meet the rest of our group.

In 2018 my wife Ann & I welcomed the group to the Saxon Sussex weekend which we based in the lovely West Sussex village of Bosham located on Chichester Harbour.
Our Hotel was the pretty Millstream Hotel in the village.

2019 was our last event with 2020 having to be cancelled due to the Covid 19 virus.
Chris and Rosemary chose the 'R100 Tour de Yorkshire' for our next venue in the Village of Easingwold where we stayed at the George Hotel.

Members Sam & Sue Dron kindly arranged for those travelling on Friday Morning to meet at the Morgan Dealership of Phil & Joyce Ledgerwood located in the village of Winterton, where we received their kind hospitality, a lovely buffet lunch and everyone departed for our tour across the Humber Bridge with a very practical Goody Bag with which to remember the visit.
